We have confirmed reports of a rockslide today, about 20 kilometres northwest of Lillooet.
RCMP Constable Jan Ruefli says the rockslide is about 5 feet deep and about 30 feet wide, blocking Highway 40.
No one was injured and crews are currently working to remove the rocks.
Rockslides are very common in the area, but Ruefli says this is larger than the typical ones they see.
The road is now partially open, down to a single alternating lane.
It is expected to fully re-open later this afternoon.
