He jumped off a ferry using a life raft last week.
But it looks like it could cost him more than just the price of a sailing.
Deb Marshall with BC Ferries says they’ll be going after the Coastal Celebration ferry jumper to the tune of $40,000.
“That includes repair to the damaged life raft, outfitting the vessel with a new life raft, or a life raft replacements, overtime pay for the crews on two of our vessels, as well as fuel burned for two ships.”
The bizarre incident ended with officials finding the man at a house on Galiano Island, throwing around furniture.
He was later arrested.
The police investigation continues.
