Dr. Anne Simon is the woman who keeps ‘The X-Files’ scientifically sound.
A professor and virologist, Simon became the science adviser to the X-Files when it originally ran nearly twenty years ago, working closely with series creator Chris Carter on how to make the episodes as scientifically real as possible.
And now she’s involved in the re-boot of the series.
“I email him almost everyday with cool science that I find, hoping that is kind of gets his creative juices going.”
Simon is also author of The Real Science Behind the X-Files, and says she hopes that the mini-series is just the beginning of a bigger revival of the series.
She wouldn’t give anything away insofar as what we can expect when the series airs in January of 2016, she did give drop one intriguing tidbit for the fans.
“I could probably say that you will see David Duchovney…in a way that you have never seen him before.”
