Today on the Simi Sara Show we spoke with a local woman who, along with her partner, has built a 235 square-foot house.
Laura Hudson and her partner Rory live in Vancouver and are almost finished building their tiny house on wheels. The plan is to live in it full-time once complete and start living the good life.
She says one of the reasons is that they’re both have post-graduate degrees, they’re still trying to pay them off, and they want to live in the Lower Mainland.
To them, the good life is living how they want, being able to afford what they want and putting their energy into what’s most important to them.
So how do you do that?
“Well, that’s a good question too. We’re just learning how to do that because we’re just finishing (up the house), and just this week we moved our house to where were planning to park and stay it and live it…and it looks like we’re going to have to move on.”
She says a lot of the information has come from American blogs by people who have done the same thing in the states, but there aren’t many examples in Canada.
