Voters arrived early and ready.
There have been long line ups at a number of polling stations around Metro Vancouver.
“There’s a long line, as you can see, but the process seems to have worked fairly well.”
They started to line up at this polling station at Lord Roberts Elementary in Vancouver Centre an hour before voting actually began.

Many have said they wanted to vote before they went to work, because polls close at 7 tonight, and they weren’t sure if they’d get a chance to.
A common theme? Worry about the long line ups that plagued advanced polls.
3.6-million people cast ballots over four days of advanced voting – a 71% increase from advanced polls in 2011.
It’s unclear what that means for overall voter turnout, but these line ups are a good sign.
