Elections Canada says polling stations across Metro Vancouver were seeing a steady stream of voters.
But spokesperson Dorothy Sitek says it really has varied from station to station, and depending on the time of day.
“I was at the Creekside Community Centre this morning, it was very brisk. The line was quite long first thing in the morning. But I also know that it took me about three minutes to vote. A friend of mine texted me, and it took her one minute to vote.”
That doesn’t mean the day has gone without a hitch.
There have been concerns of pre-marked ballots shared on social media.
Sitek says that can happen, occasionally, due to leaking ink. She says if someone spots that, to take it to the central poll supervisor.
