A new poll says the “orange wave” could be past its peak, not just nationally but also here in BC.
Today’s Mainstreet/Postmedia national poll puts the Liberals ahead nationally at 34 per cent, while the Conservatives are now at 30.
The NDP, who began the campaign as a favourite, now languishing at 19 per cent.
The New Democrats are also in trouble in BC where Thomas Mulcair is campaigning today; the vote here slightly higher at 22 per cent but nowhere near the levels in September.
The Conservatives and Liberals are more neck-and-neck at 30 per cent and 31 per cent respectively.
Mainstreet Research says it surveyed a random sampling of just over 5,500 Canadians on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Mainstreet says the poll has a margin of error of 1.46 percentage points.
