Vancouver 0 – FC Dallas 0
The Vancouver Whitecaps clinched a spot in the MLS Western Conference playoffs with a 0-0 draw against FC Dallas Wednesday evening at BC Place. The caps did so while missing a number of players due to injury and international commitments, and will be sweating on the fitness of both Mauro Rosales and Cristian Techera who both came off injured during the match. FC Dallas had the best chance to score in stoppage time as FC Dallas substitute Blas Perez managed to get in behind the defence but directed his shot just wide of an open goal. With the point the Whitecaps move to 50 points on the season and currently sit in third place in the MLS Western Conference, one point back of both LA Galaxy and FC Dallas but with one fewer match remaining against Dallas, whom they play again next Wednesday down in Texas.
