B.C. health officials say the flu vaccine might not be as effective as it should be this season.
But it’s no reason not to get the shot.
Provincial health officer Doctor Perry Kendall says the effectiveness against the H3N2 strain will likely be only 30 to 50 per cent.
“Which is still okay. It’s not as good as we’d like. It’s not bad.”
He says you should still get the vaccine because it still protects against several other strains of the flu.
