The Board Chair of the delegated agency responsible for Alex Gervais, an Aboriginal teen in government care who fell out of a hotel window and died a few weeks ago, has no answers about what happened.
Gwen Point with the Fraser Valley Aboriginal Children and Family Services Society said on Drex Live, it’s all under review.
“As a board of director I’m not responsible for the day to day,” said Point.
Drex responded “But you surely must be aware of this case and the fact that they are blaming your society, I’m trying to get you on here to give you a chance to be able to defend your society, and every question I’ve asked you tonight Gwen, you refuse to answer it directly.”
Point rebutted with “well you’re asking questions that I cannot answer.”
Premier Christy Clark says the society made a mistake, but the agency released a statement Tuesday stating that shifting focus solely to them appears to be a political move.
