Vancouver Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in a fatal accident on Oak Street.
Police say a 75-year-old woman was crossing Oak at 53rd Avenue shortly before 10pm Monday, when she was struck and killed by a car driven by a 19-year-old Vancouver man.
Police say he remained at the scene and is co-operating with investigators.
Vancouver Police are also investigating a late-night stabbing on the east side of Hornby Street, near Smithe.
A fight between 3 people at 11pm Monday left one man with life-threatening stab wounds.
He walked into a local business, was rushed to hospital, and police say he will survive.
Police say he is known to them and they believe the attack was targeted.
