Conservative Leader Stephen Harper says the future for your kids is bright in Canada.
In an exclusive interview with CKNW’s sister station, 680 CJOB in Winnipeg, Harper says job prospects for the next generation will improve as the labour market turns over and more baby boomers retire.
His advice for young people?
“Obviously, study things you’re interested in, that excite your passions, but also look at the labour market, look at the opportunities that are developing out there and try and hone some of your education toward filling those opportunities.”
At a campaign stop in Winnipeg today, Harper said a Conservative government would create 1.3 million more jobs by 2020, the same number created in Canada since 2009.
