The man accused of killing two cyclists and his own passenger in a crash north of Pemberton is now facing civil action, on top of criminal charges.
Samuel Alec is being sued for negligence.
Lizanne Bussieres is the widow of Ross Chafe, one the two cyclists killed on May 31st. She alleges Alec crossed the centre line, striking and killing the two men.
Both victims were well-known members of the Whistler Cycling Club, and Chafe leaves behind three kids.
None of the allegations has been proven in court. Alec faces ten charges, including criminal negligence and impaired driving causing death.
His next court date is Oct. 2.
