Two young people face charges of mischief and break-and-enter after another crane stunt in North Vancouver.
It happened at a construction site right beside the RCMP detachment at 13th and Lonsdale.
At 12:30am, officers outside the building heard the pair talking atop the crane, and with the help of the Fire Department’s high-angle rescue team, they were brought down safely.
RCMP Corporal Richard de Jong says this is the second time it’s happened at that location.
“It is of great concern when youth think this is a bit of a social stunt, to share their experiences on social media, which in the end under the cover of darkness, this is high-risk activity.”
He says police are asking parents to talk to them teenagers about just how dangerous this can be.
