Transit users in Metro Vancouver have been fighting a losing battle trying to find any retailer that has FareSavers lately.
TransLink says it traces back to a problem with their suppliers.
The transportation authority says they understand customers’ frustration; FareSaver booklets right now are few and far between.
The company that supplies them have been unable to provide full shipments and at first told TransLink it was a supplier issue.
Since then, TransLink has learned the company was actually going through bankruptcy proceedings, but new owners have now been brought in.
While some FareSaver dealers still have stock, some one-zone and two-zone booklets may not be available at some locations.
TransLink says the supplier is sending a larger shipment, due to arrive to retailers by mid-week.
