The sellers’ market in housing continues, so says the BC Real Estate Association.
It’s latest numbers show residential sales in August were 20% higher than the same month a year ago, total sales dollar volume of $5.5 billion was up 32.8%, and the average home price of $619,881 was up 10.6%.
Association economist Cameron Muir says
“many BC regions are now exhibiting sellers’ market conditions, with home prices rising well above the overall consumer price index.”
He says 8 of the 11 BC real estate boards recorded a higher average home price than a year ago.
