Vancouver police have found the two witnesses they were seeking.
They hope the witnesses will shed light on an incident three weeks ago that ultimately led to a 26-year-old man’s death.
Constable Brian Montague says this is an unusual situation because the man’s cause of death has not yet been determined.
“It started out as a verbal confrontation between our victim and some women in the area of Abbot and West Pender Street. That escalated to a physical confrontation when an unknown man stepped in.”
Montague says in the brief altercation the 26-year-old received what seemed to be minor injuries but he deteriorated quickly at hospital and died later.
He says the women are not suspects but investigators hope they can provide details of the August 18th incident.
