Has is really been 20 years since Rogers Arena opened?
Apparently so, because today the Vancouver Canucks announced they’re planning to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their home arena with a roster of 20 special game nights.
What they’re calling the #20in20 celebration begins on October 10th, the home opener. The original opening night was on on October 9, 1995.
Highlights include a West Coast Express Line Reunion with the return of Markus Naslund, Brendan Morrison and Todd Bertuzzi, versus Buffalo.
But what might excite die-hard Canucks Fans most is ’95 Retro Night, when the Canucks skate logo, black jersey and uniform will be welcomed back for one game only on Saturday, February 13th. Even better is that Vancouver plays the Leafs that night. Which promises to be a truly entertaining evening.
