BC Hydro’s downed website has taken plenty of fire — but one Surrey resident says the company’s phone communications have been just as bad.
“He could have not even seen the wires and stepped on them. He could be down there dead and I wouldn’t even know about it.”
That’s Rob Parkes from Surrey on the Telus worker that came in his yard — and the downed live wire he says has been there since Saturday.
He says he’s talked with police and fire crews.
But he says his calls to B-C Hydro have been a dead end — passed from operator to operator none of whom can tell him when the line will be made safe.
“The people that are manning the phones, they gotta have a wake-up call, or they gotta have a shakeup or something.”
Parkes says he gets that ground crews are slammed, but that he doesn’t get why he can’t get answers.
