A second-hand laptop has led police to arrest and charge a 52-year-old Abbotsford man with several offences, including making child pornography.
Constable Ian MacDonald says someone bought the computer through an ad online and find disturbing images of child sexual abuse, prompting the call to authorities.
“Once our computer forensics folks went through the computer, we were able to unfortunately confirm that there were images of child sexual abuse. But we were also able to determine who the former owner of the computer was.”
Jonathan Grunwald is accused of sexually assaulting a minor, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and possessing child porn.
So far, one child victim has been identified and has been confirmed to be safe.
