The City of Surrey says it has all hands on deck as it works to clean up debris littering roads from Saturday’s large South Coast storm.
City manager of operations Rob Costanzo says getting enough manpower on the job was a priority.
“Absolutely. We have our roads crews throught the city. We’re divided into three speparate areas North, Central, and South. And so each of the areas has ample coverage dealing with the downed branches, working hand in hand with the fire department.”
But Constanzo says it could take a while to get it all cleaned up.
He says the city is asking anyone who doesn’t need to travel to stay in their homes.
