Did you feel it?
It was minor, but still strong enough to cause a little rumble in the Fraser Valley– a 2.4 magnitude earthquake in Abbotsford.
“It felt like it was rumbling right under the house; like something was rolling in our kitchen, on our tile floor.”
Deke Zivven of Mission called in to the CKNW newsroom and said at first he didn’t know what it was…
“We were both sitting across from each other, so I was like ‘okay, what was that?’ And then my wife said ‘that was an earthquake!’ And I went outside and other people were going, ‘yep.'”
The quake struck at a depth of nine kilometres.
This week there have been a series of small quakes around southern B.C., including two on Wednesday: A slight 1.6 quake in Victoria and a 2.6 quake in Nanaimo.
