Vancouver Aquarium staff are keeping a close eye on an injured Orca off Vancouver Island’s North coast.
Aquarium staff spotted the injured six-year-old Orca named ‘Fern’ on Saturday.
The whale seems to have lacerations and a raw red wound on its side, just under its dorsal fin.
Experts think it may be from a collision with a boat, with the injuries coming from contact with a propeller.
They used a drone to assess ‘Fern’, and staff feel the injuries should heal.
