Building relationships and maintaining human connections is something many of us do not think about in our everyday lives. In 2013, Jenny and Josh Konkin created the Whole Way House program, which currently serves the tenants of the Avalon Hotel in Vancouver’s DTES. The hotel was purchased by the pair’s grandparents in the 1970’s and later converted into an SRO.
The Whole Way House program was created to encourage human connections between the tenants, who often suffer from mental health and addiction issues.
So how does Whole Way House create connections between people? Sam Ferris spoke with Jenny Konkin, President and Co-Founder of Whole Way House on Drex Live tonight.
