BC Corrections is hoping to reassure Abbotsford residents protesting the arrival of sex offender James Conway to their neighbourhood.
Close to 100 residents rallied near a house they believe Conway to be living in.
BC Corrections Spokesperson Cindy Rose says Conway will be supervised 24/7.
“He is under 24 hour house arrest and is under electronic monitoring 24/7. In addition the home he is residing in, the windows and doors are alarmed, and he cannot leave the residence unless he is escorted by an adult.”
Conway previously moved to Surrey but was arrested for breaching conditions only nine days later.
