The Air Quality rating in some parts of the province continues to increase.
Central and South Okanagan are sitting at a 23 right now, which is far higher than the 10 rating classified as “very high.”
The Northern part of the Okanagan is sitting at a 16, while Kamloops is rated at a 12.
Castlegar is sitting at a 7.
The Air Quality throughout the province has been troublesome because of the Stickpin Wildfire burning in Washington.
Smoke burning from that fire is wafting towards BC.
BC has also sent crews to battle that blaze.
Metro Vancouver is also a part of the Air Quality advisory.
Anyone with underlying medical conditions are being asked to stay indoors in air conditioned spaces.
They should also avoid strenuous activity.
