The CFL is promoting a new policy on violence against women.
Earlier this week, the league announced the policy would apply to everyone, including coaches, officials, and administration.
Speaking on the Sean Leslie Show with Shane Foxman, Sports Psychologist Saul Miller says in light of the Ray Rice incident and now the Patrick Kane sexual assault allegations – it’s good the CFL is making a statement.
“We see that the league is taking a very aggressive stance about players being severely punished for doing it. And really making a statement this is completely unacceptable for our participants in our league. As we said, it’s a good statement.”
“I think it would be more impacts if it was the NFL, but I think the CFL is doing what they can and good for them to do it.”
Miller says it may have more of an impact if the NFL made the statement.
