As stage three water restrictions continue across Metro Vancouver, the fines and warning letters are piling up in Surrey.
The City of Surrey has released it’s latest stats of water violators: 87 tickets have been issued.
With each fine at $250.00, that’s just over $21,000 into the coffers.
1,650 letters have also been put in the mail.
Stage three water restrictions means no lawn watering, washing vehicles or re-filling the backyard pool.
Bylaw officers are watching for violators and many of the warning letters and fines have resulted from complaints from homeowners.
