Another TV reporter has been interrupted with a string of profanities while doing an interview.
And this time, it hits close to home.
CTV Vancouver Reporter Nafeesa Karim was in the middle of what she says was an emotional interview with a man who had witnessed a long-time family business burn to the ground.
Karim says she could hear a pickup truck, revving up behind her.
“And then I heard the profane phrase sort of yell as this person drove by and I said something along the lines of you know, I wonder if he would say that in front of his mother, jerk.”
“I couldn’t believe that this was still happening, we are just trying to deliver the news that we’re trying to connect with people and tell people’s stories and this kind of things happens.”
Karim says thankfully she wasn’t live.
In the meantime, the teenage boy who kissed an on-camera TV reporter at the Squamish Valley music festival won’t face charges.
That word from Squamish RCMP.
The teen reached out to the reporter on Twitter and then followed up with a phone call of apology.
She’s accepted and RCMP now consider the matter to be over and done.
