Water use has declined in Metro Vancouver since Friday.
There has been a reduction of about seventy million litres a day since the long weekend kicked off.
There is a pretty good chance it might be because many people simply left the region to enjoy the holiday.
Despite Stage Three water restrictions, water use increased by two hundred million-litres a day since the rain fell last Sunday.
Under the water use restrictions lawns cannot be watered and cars cannot be washed.
