Six young men have been arrested after they climbed a crane on a construction site in North Vancouver.
Firefighters were first called around 11:30 last night to the William Griffith Rec Centre site on West Queens Road — and found and two men perched atop the equipment.
“These individuals were caught on the crane. They were talked down with the help of district fire.”
Corporal Richard de Jong says a few hours later, first responders were called back there because four new guys had climbed up.
He says all of them were around 21 years old and had been drinking.
“Under the influence of alcohol, your thoughts, mood and judgment could literally get you in trouble or dead if you’re that high up and you fall.”
They face charges of break and enter, trespassing and possibly mischief.
