Most people in British Columbia claim they’re doing their part to conserve water as the drought continues.
That, at least, if you believe a new poll.
The online survey by Insights West suggests 88% of people in B-C who have a lawn say they stopped watering it over the past two months.
About the same number who own a car claim they have not washed it.
Another two thirds report taking shorter showers, and about half say they’re relying less on their dishwasher and washing machine.
Still, about 40% of British Columbians say they’ve seen someone in their neighbourhood watering their grass.
Another quarter report seeing someone throw cigarette butts from a car, and one in five have spotted someone washing their car.
