It looks like there’s been some major progress in the Westside Road Fire in Kelowna.
That fire has been 75 percent contained as of late Saturday evening.
The next step in that battle: fire crews will be completing danger tree assessments on the fireline on Sunday.
They’ll also be working to mop up into the perimeter of the fire.
The BC Wildfire Service is crediting rain over the last few days as being a major part of the suppression efforts.
The evacuation alert remains in effect for about 70 homes.
