It was looking like a good night for the BC Lions early Friday night, but they gave up a 21 point lead against the Toronto Argonauts – and lost 30 to 27 at BC Place Stadium.
For the Lions, Andrew Harris and Travis Lulay nabbed touchdowns for the team – with Harris contributing two and Lulay with one, all before the first half of the game.
Kevin Elliott was the first to put a touchdown on the board for the Argonauts in the second quarter.
Also for the Argonauts, Trevor Harris had one touchdown for the night, and also made two passes to help the Argonauts come back from the early deficit. He also made a pass to Kevin Elliott for a two point conversion.
It was the second pass to Natey Adjei by Trevor Harris that gave the Argonauts the lead in the fourth quarter, bringing the score at that point in the game to 27-24.
While kicker Richie Leone tied it up for the lions with a field goal, Argonauts’ kicker Ronnie Pfeffer answered back with one of his own.
The Lions’ next game will be against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thursday, July 30th.
