Canada’s Public Safety Minister says he’s fully confident in the investigation into the RCMP’s fatal shooting of a man in Dawson Creek and a subsequent threat from the hacker group Anonymous.
Stephen Blaney said at an event in Delta that every threat is dealt with by the appropriate agency.
“I have a lot of respect for our front line officer whether here in Surrey or in Delta that are faced with challenges on an everyday basis and that have to make decisions in a very short time.”
Anonymous claims the RCMP shot and killed one of their members last week in the northeastern BC town when he was just trying to obey their instructions.
Investigators says police were responding to a complaint at a public meeting when they encountered a man who was acting aggressively, and he was fatally shot.
