The New Democrats may want answers, but Children and Families minister Stephanie Cadieux is sounding more and more like a broken record when it comes to her government’s failure to protect children from harm.
She says she needs time to study a court ruling which slammed her ministry for giving a child molester unsupervised access to his kids.
Cadieux continues to insist social workers are in a tough line of work dealing with 37-thousand cases per year.
Most of the time things go well, but it is very difficult. Our social workers are asked to make very gut-wrenching decisions about whether or not to remove a child from their parents loving arms.
Cadieux is also refusing to disclose if anyone has been disciplined for this latest foul-up.
