The wife of the man killed has written an emotional post on Facebook, crediting her husband with saving his family.
Zhou says Hill led the suspect outside to give the rest of the family time to hide.
Zhou says her husband is “the best real estate agent, very protective father, very best husband.”
She’s also asking for personal space and privacy.
Zhou’s comments online come as the man accused of killing her husband appears in court.
Khouri Lamar Green will stay behind bars until his next court date in September.
The 22-year-old has now been charged with second-degree murder.
Green said nothing during his brief appearance before a provincial court judge Tuesday morning in Surrey.
He’s accused of shooting the popular realtor late Sunday night at the 42-year old victim’s home in Cloverdale.
Green was arrested a few hours later in Burnaby.
His criminal record dates back more than five years and his latest jail sentence ended in January.
