It was 30 years ago today that the Live Aid concert rocked the world.
The concert, which took place on July 13, 1985, was organized by singer-songwriter Bob Geldof to raise funds and awareness about a devastating famine in Ethiopia between 1983 and 1985.
The concert was attended by 100,000 people, while an estimated global audience of 1.9 billion people across 150 nations watched the live broadcast.
Canada’s own Bryan Adams opened the transcontinental broadcastat the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Right by his side was Keith Scott, the lead guitarist in his band.
Scott joined The Simi Show today to talk about that historic concert 30 years ago.
