After seven days of silence, Premier Christy Clark will meet with media for an update on the province’s firefighting efforts over the wildfire season, and to finally address last week’s failed transit plebiscite.
Before Monday morning, the last time the Premier tweeted was when she wished the public a happy Canada Day.
She had been on vacation during that stretch, but her silence had people creating the hashtag #FindChristyClark on Twitter.
Since last week, the transit plebiscite the province ordered has failed, numerous evacuation orders and alerts have been issued due to out-of-control wildfires in B-C, and a letter to the Premier from the sister of a fired health researcher who committed suicide alleges her brother’s suicide note was deleted without his family’s permission.
There’s hope Clark will address all three concerns from Pemberton this afternoon.
