BC’s Premier says the challenges the Ombudsperson laid out with a probe into the botched firings of eight health care workers – are similar to what a public inquiry would face.
Next week the all-party Finance Committee will go over concerns Ombudsperson Jay Chalke raised in a letter to the committee.
Clark says she believes he will be able to move forward with the health minister’s request he carry out an investigation
“So I think there are obstacles that we can deal with together and the lawyers – all the brightest minds in law are looking at that now to work through it.”
