No end in sight yet for this sweltering heat, and the wildfire smoke? It isn’t going anywhere just yet either.
Global BC meteorologist Yvonne Schalle.
“It looks like both today and tomorrow we won’t see much of a reprieve in terms of local smoke, especially as we approach the afternoon hours. Temperatures are on the rise so we’re at around 27 degrees as your high, inland it will be another warm day at 32 degrees. Most of the record heat we saw yesterday, especially along the south coast, a few degrees cooler for a few spots but it will really be into the southern interior that we’ll still see the potential for some record-breaking heat.”
She says there is no sign of rain until – maybe – the weekend at the earliest.
The wildfire smoke has caused an air quality advisory for Metro Vancouver.
