The Vancouver Canucks continue to reshape their team, trading right winger Zack Kassian and a 5th round draft pick in 2016 to the Montreal Canadiens for left winger Brandon Prust.
Kassian had been a disappointment with the Canucks and had not lived up to expectations, admitting after his trade this morning that he could have given more to the Canucks.
Prust is a sandpaper forward who has amassed nearly 1000 penalty minutes in his NHL career with Calgary, Arizona, the New York Rangers and Montreal. He is also an effective penalty killer and has one year left on his current contract.
Prust is 31.
