The long-awaited results of Metro Vancouver’s plebiscite will be made public Thursday.
BC’s Chief Electoral Officer has confirmed the numbers will be posted online at 10 a.m.
Final results will be listed for each of the 23 municipalities, as well as a total for the region.
When voting ended May 29, total turnout was less than 45 per cent.
The ballot question called for a 0.5-per-cent hike to the sales tax aimed at covering $7.5-billion worth of transit and transportation upgrades over ten years.
If approved, tax collection is not slated to start until next year.
