WestJet is reporting six injuries among passengers during an emergency evacuation of one of its flights Monday night.
54 passengers and five crew aboard flight WS-422’s evacuated the plane via emergency slides shortly after landing, and six suffered non-life threatening injuries.
A few were taken to hospital.
The Edmonton-to-Toronto flight was diverted to Winnipeg after what the company called “a threat.”
Winnipeg Airports Authority says the response to the diversion of WestJet 442 has concluded.
The flight was diverted to Winnipeg around 8:40pm.
WestJet advises that their guests have been sent to local hotels and will be re-accommodated on WestJet flights to Toronto later in the morning.
