Fire crews from West Vancouver are continuing to work on a brush fire on the Sea-to-Sky Highway right above the Horseshoe Bay toll booth.
Asst Fire Chief Jeff Bush says all four West Van engines are at the scene right now keeping the situation under control
It’s well into the ground cover. There’s visible flames – it’s not smouldering it’s actually burning. We’ve got a bit of a wind happening so it’s getting a little bit on top of us because we have no water supply up here we have to do water shuttle.
Bush says a helicopter water is on it’s way to douse the blaze that he hopes that will knock it down.
Smoke from the fire was first spotted mid-afternoon.
