It’s been several days since BC’s senior federal minister announced he won’t be seeking re-election.
But despite the high profile departure from his team, so far, the Prime Minister’s been silent.
For years, James Moore has been part of Stephen Harper’s inner circle.
But when the long-time Port Moody-Westwood-Port Coquitlam MP announced he won’t be running again, there was no official statement from the Prime Minister.
Statements went out when other cabinet members announced their political departure, including John Baird and Peter MacKay.
When asked, a PMO spokesperson gave CKNW a statement, thanking Moore for his service, and wishing his family well, but noted, it’s to be attributed to the spokesperson, not the Prime Minister himself.
Moore announced he’s leaving politics to spend more time in BC with his family, including his son, who has health challenges.
