Surrey RCMP are still searching for a male suspect after he allegedly stabbed a taxi driver early Sunday morning.
Staff Sgt. Blair McColl says the assault took place in the 13300 block of 105 Avenue.
“The taxi driver advised us he was assault by this male passenger. During the assault, the passenger produced a knife, and stabbed the taxi driver in the arm and hand. The male suspect then took the taxi driver’s wallet, cash, and cell phone and then fled from the taxi.”
Witnesses in the area came to the driver’s aid, who was transported to hospital and later released with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a slender, dark-complexioned male with a slender build, wearing black pants and black hoody.
