More than fifty-thousand fans are expected to pack BC Place Sunday afternoon for Canada’s biggest test of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Burnaby native Christine Sinclair and her Canadian side will meet Switzerland on the pitch just after 4:30 with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.
Tickets are selling for at least a reported $90 dollars.
With one win and two draws through the group stage, the eighth-ranked Canadians will aim to use home-field advantage in their favour against the 19th-ranked Swiss.
A Canada win will set them up for a quarterfinal matchup against the winner of Norway and England.
