Warm summery days are on the way , and here’s a stark reminder to be cautious when leaving windows and patio doors open.
A 4 year old fell from a second story balcony Thursday afternoon, and fortunately, was not injured.
Surrey RCMP says the child walked out onto the patio, climbed up onto a chair that was against the balcony railing and tumbled 3 metres to the fortunately soft ground below.
A neighbour spotted the fall and assisted the child back into the building and to his apartment.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
It could have been a lot worse — so RCMP want parents and care givers to be extra careful when keeping the windows open.
