A high-profile and affable member of the B.C. RCMP has been suspended.
The RCMP confirms to CKNW that Insp. Tim Shields has been suspended with pay as of May 19.
The force has provided no other details, other than to say the former media spokesperson is undergoing a Code of Conduct investigation.
Two women have filed separate lawsuits against Shields, accusing him of sexual harassment.
None of those allegations has been proven in court.
